In any given year, REACH will hold a number of key annual events.

Commissioning Service

Typically held in late February, the Commissioning Service is an opportunity for us gather together for the purpose of praying for the SRE teachers and commissioning them for a new year of ministry.

Pastor’s Prayer Breakfast

Each year the REACH Committee runs a short breakfast prayer meeting specifically for the local pastors of the Chatswood/Willoughby area to get together and affirm, grow and strengthen our partnership in enabling the SRE ministry in our local high schools. Any of the pastoral staff or relevant leaders can attend, but Senior Pastors are especially encouraged to come along to represent their church.

Annual Fundraiser Dinner

This is a key event in the REACH calendar, seeking to raise awareness and support for the vital SRE ministry in our local high schools. With free dinner for all attendees, inspiring stories and a keynote speaker, this enjoyable and low-pressure event serves as an encouragement to existing supporters whilst also providing a great opportunity for those who would like to hear more about REACH and consider supporting this ministry for themselves.

End-Of-Year Thanksgiving Supper

An informal supper gathering held at the end of every calendar year, for our supporters to hear about the great work that has taken place throughout the year in the local high schools, and to express our thanksgiving to God through prayer.
